Four months to go!

With four months to go... where are we at with planning? Well I'm proud to say we are almost done with wedding planning! It will be okay if you pat us on the back in a celebratory fashion next time you see us.

In all reality, with both us working and having a rigorous school schedule we wanted to de-stress and get as much done as soon as possible. Of course, we have to attribute most of our success to our lovely family. My mother and my sister have been phenomenal and essential in the planning process. I sometimes contemplate telling them to open up a wedding planning office. They know everything we want, how we want, and when we want things and they have done an insane amount of work to help create our dream wedding. We can not tell them thank you enough! We are so grateful and love them so much!

A couple weekends ago there was a bridal fair in St. George where my mom, sister, and her family came down to visit. On Saturday morning the girls went and picked out my wedding dress (which I absolutely love!). The rest of the day Mike, my mom, sister, and I went to the bridal fair - getting all of our ideas, colors, fabrics, cake, flowers, and other items in line for the wedding. With all of our creative juices flowing, we have all of the items picked out.

Yesterday Mike and I created a WEDDING WEBSITE that has more details, a guest book, options to request music and more. It is quite fun so take some time too look around and check out our website at

It is so nice to have so much done! We are going to address invitations over spring break, take pictures in April, and enjoy the rest of the time being an engaged couple. :)

I would post pictures of us, family, planning, ring and all sorts of things... but my camera cord to my computer is M.I.A.  If I ever find it or figure another way out, I'll post pictures.

December 25

December 25 is a much awaited day that holds many meanings: Presents, family, twinkling house lights,  snow, work parties, crowded shopping centers, decorating the tree, and much more. This year I had no idea just how much of a meaning it would have for me... December 25, 2011 changed my life forever. You see, this is the day Michael William Hunt proposed. <3 The morning of December 25, 2011 I woke up and knew it was going to be a great day. I had to work for four hours at the hospital and then my brother Stanton, Mike, and myself would drive four hours to Springville to spend Christmas with the family. This day was already special to me because I got to share an important holiday with a man straight out of a fairy tale, (Mike) with my family. Anybody who knows me can testify that family is the most important thing in my life.  So it is apparent this holiday was complete having the man of my dreams be with my family. We got to Springville and had our traditional fam...

The firsts of many firsts

With the new year well on it's way, drastic changes and eventful/lenthy days did not wait long to present themselves to Mike and me. Among this, "new leaf" so-to-speak are a few of our firsts. Sarah&Mike: 1. First time Michael and Sarah did baptisms for the dead at the St. George temple together. 2. First foreign roommate for Sarah. Her name is Inna and she is from Russia! 3. First college experience for Mike. He is officially a college student. :) 4. First time Sarah is taking 20 credits in college (wouldn't recommend it- especially while in the nursing program and holding down a job). 5. First time Sarah applied for gradutaion- which she will be graduating this spring with her Associate Degree! Yeeeeah Buddy! 6. First time Mike and Sarah are taking an institute class together for engaged and newlywed couples. It is titled  "Building and Eternal Marriage." This year is definitely OUR YEAR! I was talking with my sister on the phone yesterday we...

Honeymoon-ing!

I have been really excited to write this post! It's about the destination of our honeymoon! Some of you knew and some of you didn't.... but I sure didn't know where we were going for our honeymoon! Michael planned it all and kept it a surprise for me!  So picking up where my last blog left off, we drove away from our reception as the sun was setting. I didn't even know where Mike was taking me! It's quite an exciting adventure to get in a car with your new husband and have no idea where you are going! Plus it was an added treat to have everybody smile and wave at our decorated car and my fluffy dress occupying the passenger seat on our way. ;)  We got onto the northbound entrance as Michael told me we were going to Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City! I was really excited to actually stay in the city and stay at Anniversary Inn. My parents and siblings have stayed there before and it was somewhere I have always wanted to spend the night. It was perfect for...
